Visible Measures Plans for Increased Growth

New Venture Funds to enable greater growth and product development

Visible Measures, Inc. recently announced additional venture capital funding from its latest Series C Round of venture financing.  Visible Measures offers a unique internet video tracking system used by internet publishers and advertisers.  A third party measurement firm, Visible Measures follows and gathers data on video interactions.  When a viewer plays, pauses, repeats or forwards a video to a friend, the data is tracked and recorded by Visible Measures.   This ability gives internet advertisers, viral marketers and video publishers greater tools to understand internet audiences and viewer behavior. 

Founded in 2005, Visible Measures offers a variety of patented products: Video Placement Multiplier, Video Metrics Engine, Visible Campaign, Visible Suite, and a Viral Research Database.  Its Video Placement Multiplier allows publishers and advertisers to easily upload videos to over 40 video sharing sites while maintaining preferred brand placement control.  Visible Measures’ Video Metrics Engine records and processes viewer connection and engagement in real time for all videos on a network.  Visible Campaign gives web advertisers and agencies the ability to measure the effectiveness of their viral campaigns.  VisibleSuite allows for greater metrics in capturing the behavior of internet video audiences. Viral Reach Database allows clients to track greater than 100 million videos. 

According to EMarketer, a credible research firm, more than 85% of the internet population in the US will use internet video by the year 2011. By closely monitoring viewer activity, Visible Measures gives internet advertisers, viral marketers and publishers the ability to predict the success of internet ads and video programs.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, California with offices in Boston, Massachusetts, Visible Measures is led by Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Shin.   Well versed in internet software companies, Mr. Shin is also the Co-Founder of Creative Aspects (now called WebMD), the Cambridge Intelligence Agency and Infraweb, Inc.  Infraweb is a strategic technology consulting firm.  Matt Cutler serves as Visible Measures’ Vice President of Marketing and Analytics.  Previously, Mr. Cutler was Co-Founder of 80108 Media (currently Go2Media) and head of marketing at SPSS Inc.  Seraj Bharwani, the former Senior Vice President and Group Director of Digitas, is Visible Measures’ Senior Vice President, Business Development.

In March of 2009, Visible Measures raised $10 Million in a Series C Round of Venture Capital Funding. Funding was led by Northgate Capital and included existing investors General Catalyst and Mohr Davidow.  To date, the total capital raised by Visible Measures amounts to $29 million.  Per Visible Measures’ CEO and Founder, Brian Shin, the financing will assist Visible Measures in increasing its product development and customer expansion.
