RedSeal Systems Raises $17.1 Million in Series B Funding
RedSeal Systems, the leader in innovative security risk management (SRM) solutions, recently announced it has secured $17.1 million of new capital. This round of funding was led by Venrock Associates and includes JAFCO Ventures as a new investor, in addition to significant participation on the part of the current investors, Sutter Hill Ventures and Leapfrog Ventures. RedSeal will use the funding to accelerate sales and marketing, as well as expand internationally in an effort to keep up with the growing demand for its products.
“There is a tremendous opportunity for security risk management solutions as organizations are concerned about the security of customer data, valuable company IT resources, and compliance,” said Ray Rothrock, managing general partner, Venrock. “We know RedSeal delivers great value to its customers. When companies do, they are true success stories.”
“As a new investor, it was easy for us to validate RedSeal's tremendous value proposition with customers,” said Joe Horowitz, managing general partner, JAFCO Ventures. “We view the company's market opportunity to be unbounded and are very excited to be part of the RedSeal team.”
“This financing will enable us to accelerate our business and aggressively execute on the opportunity at hand,” said Joel Evanier, president and CEO of RedSeal. “We are delighted by the support of our investors and look forward to capitalizing on our unique market opportunity.”
RedSeal provides security risk management solutions that give instant visibility into the threats that leave an open door to valuable company resources. RedSeal Security Risk Manager (SRM) maps the entire infrastructure, measures its relevant risk, and mitigates its exposure.
Maps: RedSeal SRM automatically audits your entire network infrastructure including all network resources, security devices and hosts to compile an end-to-end and up-to-date map of these resources and their relationships
Measures: RedSeal SRM pinpoints which assets are exposed then assigns a risk value for meaningful measurement
Mitigates: RedSeal SRM prioritizes vulnerabilities that you need to find-and-fix before an exploit so you can mitigate your risk profiles and focus on the most important assets first
Founded in 2004, RedSeal is privately held.
