ItsOn Mobile Company Gets $ 15.5 Million in Funding
ItsOn got $ 15.5 million of venture funding from Andreessen Horowitz. The firm also got a round of funding from Verizon Communications, Best Buy and Vodafone Group Plc. The money will be used to power an original service for one of the biggest mobile suppliers in America at the beginning of next year.
ItsOn was founded in 2008 by former executives at Cisco Systems Inc, Greg Raleigh and Charlie Giancarlo. The company offers software that is being installed both on mobile device (like smartphones) and on remote servers which are connected to the network of the wireless service provider.
ItsOn want their clients to be able to use the software from the smartphones to make changes very easily without calling the customer service. The new technology that the company attempts to offer will enable customers to use the same gadget both for business and pleasure and pay separate bills by using this innovative software.
Still, this new technology is not yet on the market and the officials did not say when this service will be available for the public. The executives did not comment on what types of service the software will first support.
As they surprised the public with new things until now, we can only expect not to wait too much longer to be surprised by this new promise of change in all our lives.
