Gigwalk, a San Francisco based company was backed by Accelerator Ventures, August Capital, Harrison Metal, SoftTech Venture Capital, Founder Collective, Greylock Discovery and AdMob founder Omar Hamoui in a $ 6 million series A venture funding.
The money will be used to enlarge and develop the company’s mobile tech and market. Also, Gigwalk initiated its biggest performance so far by expanding its relationship with Bing which will set over a hundred thousand Gigs in more than three 35 hundred cities around the USA.
Bob Bahramipour, the former VP of Business Development, was named the Chief Executive Officer of Gigwalk and the co – founder Matt Crampton will have the role of CTO and Head of Product.
While the unemployment rate is at around 8 %, smartphone holders can use Gigwalk to join in the freelance labour market and turn their phones into a paycheck. Gigwalk reduces the time and rates of the local businesses to hire temporary workers for their several sites.
Gigwalk.com has more purposes, such as field photography, mystery shopping or store audits. Users can earn cash by completing the Gigs.
