Creating Your Strategic Plan
When you create a stragtegic plan, you will find that this is a journey, and not an absolute destination. You’ll find that you’re going to have to make changes and constant revisions to it. This is okay; Your strategic plan is a living and breathing document that changes as you change.
When you create your strategic plan, you’ll have to state the purpose of your business. You’ll need a business outline to have a direction to move in.
For example, what type of business are you in? What is the end goal of your business? What is the purpose of your business?

Speaking of the direction of your business, what direction is your business moving in? Where can you see your business in five to ten years.
What are the long term goals? When you are able to answer these questions, then you can further define a business plan for yourself.
Now that you have accomplished this, take a look at the strengths and the weaknesses of your business. You need to know the strong and the weak points that will effect your business down the line. When you already know what to expect good and bad, then you can hone in on the strengths, without getting bogged down by the weaknesses.
The next step of your business planning, is getting to know your customers. You can’t skip this step. You have to know your target customer base, in order to serve them well. You need to know what motivates them to shop, and to buy.
The next step is goals planning. This is where you list objectives and goals. You need to create effective goals, and these effective goals will clarify performance, and the measurements of the performance.
Next, take inventory of your resources. You will need to know what you have going for you, to make your plans happen.
Then, put those goals in order of importance, so that you can start to accomplish them.

The last step is to put your strategy into action, and then make assessments, with regards to how well you are doing. While your strategy plan can answer any questions, the purpose of a strategy plan is to give you a roadmap to accomplish, and achieve your goals.
